About

Hello! My name is April N. Kelley and I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree in applied U.S. history with a concentration in new media at George Mason University, where I am also an employee at the Arlington Campus Library. I have a master’s of library science degree from the University of Maryland, with a focus on archives management.

My research interests include: American history (19th & 20th Century); U.S. presidential history; libraries; digital arts & humanities. You can find my portfolio website I made for Clio Wired part 2 at http://aprilnkelley.com if you are curious.

Outside of school and work I like exploring new parts of the country on roadtrips, making art projects for fun, knitting scarves, nature walks, pet-sitting and watching/making documentaries.

This blog will chronicle my thoughts and reactions throughout my classes, including Clio Wired 1: An Introduction to History and New Media (Fall 2014) and History & Cartography (Fall 2015). If you’re looking for my from Clio 2 (Spring 2013 – yes I took them out of order!) you can click here.
